Buster the Beagle leads our mid day visit walks with his nose!
I have been taking care of Buster, a McDowell Ranch four legged resident for the past week. He is just adorable to walk with and really remindes me of my old Beagle, Max. Just like Max used to do…Buster leads us on our walks using the compass of his nose. One day we ended up on a HOT trail that ended with the post man eating his lunch out of the side of his truck! Another day we were following the scent of the landscapers trimming all the fragrent bushes. Sometimes, we are tracking animals that have walked there before us… but nonetheless – the nose leads!
Buster can be a real slow walker when he is sniffing, but if he wants to get somewhere, you better get a move on or he will make it known that he wants to go!
He is just adorable and I am enjoying each afternoon with him!!!

4 Reasons why you should hire a professional pet sitter
by Danielle Vasta
1. Dogs need to be exercised at least 30 minutes a day. Unless you do this before or after work everyday, your pet is not as healthy as they can be.
2. Save your investment! Your home is your biggest asset, right? Then why leave it unattended when you are on vacation? Professional pet sitters provide crime deterrent services and check the inside and outside of your home to make sure everything is secure, working properly, and not damaged.
3. Eliminate having to borrow favors from friends and family. How many times have you been sitting in the gift shop thinking, what do I get Susie Q for pet sitting Fido? OR How many times have you had to pay up at the most inconvent time to repay Susie Q for helping you out? With a professional pet sitter they take all the worry off your hands and give you peace of mind while you are away. When you return, you don’t have to repay the favor.
4. Pets that stay in their own environment are much happier. Their routine can stay the same and there is no disruption to their schedules. Also, YOU don’t have to transport them anywhere or bother making an extra step on the way home from the airport!

“Just a Dog”

“From time to time, people tell me, “lighten up, it’s just a dog,” or, “that’s a lot of money for just a dog.” They don’t understand the distance traveled, the time spent, or the costs involved for “just a dog.”
Some of my proudest moments have come about with “just a dog.”
Many hours have passed and my only company was “just a dog,” but I did not once feel slighted.
Some of my saddest moments have been brought about by “just a dog,” and in those days of darkness, the gentle touch of “just a dog” gave me comfort and reason to over come the day.
If you, too, think it’s “just a dog,” then you will probably understand phrases like “just a friend,” “just a sunrise,” or “just a promise.”
“Just a dog” brings into my life the very essence of friendship, trust, and pure
unbridled joy.
“Just a dog” brings out the compassion and patience that make me a better person. Because of “just a dog” I will rise early, take long walks and look longingly to the future.
So for me and folks like me, it’s not “just a dog” but an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future, the fond memories of the past, and the pure joy of the moment.
“Just a dog” brings out what’s good in me and diverts my thoughts away from myself and the worries of the day.
I hope that someday they can understand that it’s not “just a dog” but the thing that gives me humanity and keeps me from being “just a Woman/Man.”
So the next time you hear the phrase “just a dog” just smile, because they “just don’t understand.”
Note: I did not create this – it was emailed to me. I do not know who did write it but I thought it was beautiful and I wanted to share it with everybody. This has been provided by Bella’s House & Pet Sitting located in Scottsdale, AZ I can not tell you how many times being in the pet sitting industry, this is true. Not ALL pets are created equal. Not EVERYONE thinks they are apart of the family. That is too bad, because they are. Maybe one day some will realize this! www.BellasHouseAndPets.com
