Do you have a similar article for if you FIND a lost or stray dog ? This is a great article for if you have LOST your dog however what about the other end of the coin .... when you've FOUND a lost/stray dog.. do you have any tips, advice, suggestions ? Naturally the first is to be safe. Don't go near the roaming (what looks lost) dog unless it is safe to do so.

What next would you do ? Would you take it to the pound or vet once you've got control of it (in your car or on a leash) ? Or would you look at its tags and call the owner first before going to the vet or pound ? Would you not even approach it + instead call the local animal control + report the roaming dog ? How do you deal with ungrateful owners ?
