Dogs that are groomed regularly tend to have healthier and shinier coats because it stimulates the blood supply to the skin.  The old fashioned belief that regular baths will strip a dog of their natural oils and dry out the skin just isn’t true today. Grooming shops use very high quality shampoo that is PH balanced specifically for dogs that nourish and condition a dog’s skin and coat whether Its a fluffy poodle or a short haired mixed breed.

Regular grooming can also provide you with valuable information about existing health and skin conditions that you otherwise may not notice.  Eyes, ears, teeth and gums should all be inspected during the grooming process.  Therefore, your pet groomer plays an intricate part in the health and well being of your pet.

Finding a grooming shop that you feel comfortable leaving your beloved animal in can sometimes be difficult.  Check it out thoroughly before hand.  Is it clean?  Are the dogs being treated well?  Is the safety of each animal a priority?  If not, you may want to try a different shop.
