Little question but our pets provide immeasurable pleasure and companionship. They make few demands, and require relatively little care. On the other hand, I have heard less excitement regarding children, many of whom can produce nasty surprises after the 'cute years'. Unfortunately, we non-breeders of children, have to pay the continuing price for those too stupid or lazy to plan. School systems, especially those like Scottsdale, that have self absorbed soccer moms and suv dads, expect everyone to contribute to the upkeep of their Jack and Jill, and horrors possibly more. Research the absurd machinations of The Scottsdale School Superintendent, John Baracy, to see why school taxes and waste are way overboard. Funny, my Chihuahua's never brought on tax increases. I do not find this hard to fathom.
